Six Airline Pilots from Jet Airways and Qatar Airways climbed Uhuru Peak in the month of March 2012 to raise funds for Isha Vidhya. Uhuru Peak, Mt Kilimanjaro is one of the world famous Seven Summits and the highest point on the continent of Africa.

Isai Mazhai 2012 – A Musical Fundraiser Benefitting Isha Vidhya

Last month when the harvest festival Pongal was being celebrated in Tamil Nadu India, a small band of local Tamil singers from Boston (USA) came together for a musical evening, performing for an audience of over 300 people. The highlight of the event – all proceeds raised would go to support Isha Vidhya, educating rural children in India. In all, the event raised close to $6000 which will go a long way towards supporting education across rural villages in Tamil Nadu.

Mumbai Marathon – Volunteers raise 60 lakhs for Isha Vidhya

In the Mumbai Marathon 2012, Isha volunteers raised over $120,000 through sponsors for Isha Vidhya rural schools: “These 200 volunteers have been working for over 6 months to raise funds for the children of Isha Vidhya schools. Some of them ran the 6 km Dream Run, some the 21 km half marathon and others determined to finish the grueling 42 km full marathon.”
